The Histroy of Minaret Court #154

Minaret Court No. 154  was conceived in the hearts and minds of the fine Nobles of Minaret Temple No. 174, then under the able leadership of  Noble Melvin W. Lewis.

Through thier untiring efforts, twenty ladies were organized for the purpose of forming a Club known as Mini-X with the common objective of becoming Daughters Of Isis.

The Officers of Club Mini-X were:

President, Mildred Holmes; Secretary, Graldine Lewis; Treasurer, Theresa Pinkeny.

On Saturday, July  19, 1969, with the temperatur in the mid 90's, the twenty ladies were guided acrss the burning sands of the desret by the mighty Torture Team of Pyramid Court No. 17 Oasis of Philadelphia, Desert of Pennsylvania.

Daughter Edith J Strothers, Illustrious Commandress of Pyramid Court No. 17, conducted the Creation.

Through love, strength and integrity, we labored to prove ourselves worthy of receiving a Charter on Monday evening, November 23, 1970 to become a constituent court to the Imperial court, Daughter of Isis.

The Charter being granted by the late Daughter Eliza M. Coleman was presented by Imperial Deputy pf the Desert of Pennsylvania, Daughter Bessie F. Burton No. 17, to the Imperial Deputy of the Oasis, Daughter Mildred F. Holmes.

Since receiving our Charter, our goals have been many and our achievements great.

We have recognized the vast change in events throughout the world, and we have conscientiously made the necessary adjustments to make Isisdom current and relvant in our respective communities.

Each year, Minaret  Court give an award to wothy Chester High School Senior girl with a good average record, accepted in a post high school institution.
